What's changing in 2012
A transitional vintage for Bayerische Motoren Werken, which has already done an enormous amount of work in recent years. A lot of facelifts before the big news of 2013: the water-cooled Boxer engine. The brand is therefore taking advantage of the year to more or less update certain models. The S 1000 RR improves its engine management, the F 800 R gets a slight facelift, and a number of special series such as the G 650 GS Sertao, the K 1300 R Carbon, the K 1300 S HP, the R 1200 GS Rally and the F 800 GS Trophy and Triple Black enrich the range.

At high engine speeds (>= 12,500 rpm), the oil filter's screw connection may come loose, causing oil to leak from the oil filter. This can lead to oil deposits on the road, creating slippery sections and increasing the risk of accidents and injuries.
